પવિત્ર રમઝાન માસનો ત્રીજો અને આખરી તબક્કો શરુ થઇ ગયો છે. ગરીબ મુસ્લિમ પરિવારોને ઈદ ની ખુશીઓમાં સામેલ કરવા ઝકાત, ફિત્ર તથા લીલ્લાહ દાન આપવાનો પ્રવાહ શરુ થશે. માલેતુઝાર લોકો તથા સામાજિક સંસ્થાઓ પણ વિધવા, ત્યક્તા, નિરાધાર મહિલા પરિવારોને ઈદ ની કીટો જેમાં જીવન જરૂરિયાતની ચીજ વસ્તુઓ નું વિતરણ કરવામાં આવે છે. પવિત્ર રમઝાન માસ ત્રણ તબક્કાઓમાં વહેંચાયેલો હોય છે. જેમાં પ્રથમ ૧૦ દિવસ રહેમત ના હોય છે. વચ્ચેના ૧૦ દિવસ મગફિરત (માફી) માંગવાના અને અંતિમ ૧૦ દિવસ જહન્નમ થી નજાત (મુક્તિ) મેળવવાના હોય છે. સમગ્ર વિશ્વના મુસ્લિમ સમુદાયો માટે બરકતવંતા દિવસો અને રહેમત થી ભરેલ રાત્રિઓ અને નેઅમતથી ભરપૂર રમઝાન માસના અંતિમ ૧૦ દિવસોનો પ્રારંભ થઇ ગયો છે. આ મુબારક માસમાં ખુદાને ખુશ કરવા ભૂખ, પ્યાસ, અને અન્ય ઈચ્છાઓ પર સંપૂર્ણપણે સંયમ દાખવી ધીરજ, સબ્ર બરદાસ્ત કરી ઈબાદતોમાં મશગુલ રહે છે. રમઝાન શરીફની ૨૭ મી રાત એટલેકે શબેકદ્ર ની રાત વિષે કહેવાય છે કે આ એક રાતની ઇબાદતના બદલામાં ૧૦૦૦ મહિના એટલે કે ૮૩ વર્ષ અને ૩ મહિનાની ઈબાદતનું ફળ મળશે. આ પવિત્ર રાત્રી ઈબાદત માટે સૌથી મહત્વની રાત્રી છે. ઇસ્લામ ધર્મના સ્થાપક હઝરત મુહમ્મદ સલ્લલ્લાહો અલૈહે વસલ્લમ સાહેબે આ રાત્રિને મહત્વ આપેલ હોવાથી શબેકદ્ર ની રાત્રી અત્યંત મહત્વની બની જાય છે. તથા ઈદ આવતા સુધીમાં પરિવારના વ્યક્તિ દીઠ અઢી કિલો ઘઉં અથવા તેની કિંમત ફીતરા તરીકે ગરીબોને આપવામાં આવે છે. સાથે સાથે ઈદ ની ખુશીઓમાં સામીલ કરવા માટે ગરીબ, યતીમ, વિધવા, નિરાધાર લોકોને રોકડ રકમ, કપડાં, તેમજ ઈદના તહેવાર માટે સૂકા મેવા, તેલ, ખાંડ, સહિતની જરૂરિયાતની વસ્તુઓ આપવામાં આવે છે. પૈસાપાત્ર તથા સામાજિક સંસ્થાઓ આ ભગીરથ કાર્ય ઉપાડી લે છે.

Lord Adambhai Fasiwala of UK Parliament has passed away at age of 78 in Blackburn, UK.
Lord Adam, as he was known to many, loved Lancashire and his town of Blackburn and always looked to assist as many people as he could from across different cultures and backgrounds. He was renowned for his tireless voluntary work.
As a member of the Labour party he worked closely with Baroness Castle, Louise Ellman, Baroness Farrington of Ribbleton, Janet Anderson, Keith Vaz and Blackburn MP Jack Straw.
He was a founder member of among other organisations the Blackburn Community Relations Council, then the Racial Equality Council, a founder of the Blackburn Indian Workers’ Association and the Lancashire Council Mosques. The British Hajj commission was led by Lord Adam Patel for a decade.
Lord Patel left his village of Karmad, in Bharuch, Gujurat, in 1965, arriving in Blackburn in December 1965. He had studied at MS University of Baroda, where he first became involved in politics. In England he funded his accountancy studies by working at a Dewsbury cotton mill for six months. He went on to become a Managing Director of a clothing manufacturing company.
In recent years he was forced to take a back seat in community matters after he became ill.
The Funeral will take place on Thursday May 30 at 3.30pm at Pleasington Cemetery, Blackburn.
