“The Old Flame”…

“Adam” Tankarvi… who doesn’t know him! A name very respectfully taken in Gujarati literature community… very-well known for his poems and hazals. What many of us probably don’t know is that Adam Saheb dedicated 21 years in teaching English at HM Patel English school at Vallabh Vidhya Nagar (until ‘93).

We are very pleased to inform everyone that Adam Saheb’s book “The Old Flame”, was launched couple days ago at ceremony held in honor of him at Vidhya Nagar (near Anand). VVUK Administrator Imtiaz Patel, Batley UK social activist Ahmed Gul OBE and Iqbal Bhai Dhoriwala attended the program.

Vallabha Vidhyanagar had many prestigiou. There are 90 different colleges and several Universities with over 30,000 students. Several alumni from these institutes are found across the world inclduing silicon valley of America.

Team also visited 2 Muslim hostel/dorms for boys with prayer facilities, supported by Adam Saheb and Gul saheb. There are 17 students from Bharuch and Surat district including 3 from Gifted30 project.

There are approx 31 Muslim girls currently living at private residences. Hostel committee wants a dedicated facility for girls similar to boys and are looking for donors to support them to start girls hostel. We request from this medium to help and take part in this noble task to uplift educational activities in our community.
